Prolific’s Flexible Working Policy

Our Flexible Working Policy should support employees in achieving a better balance between work and their other priorities, such as caring responsibilities, further learning and other interests.

We’ll do our best to agree to any flexible working requests as long as the needs of Prolific and the employee are met but it should be understood that some types of flexible working may not work for every role. In each situation, we’ll take into account a number of different things such as:

What is flexible working?

Flexible working is any type of working arrangement that gives some degree of flexibility on how long, where and when a Prolifico works.

We offer different ways of working that can be adjusted to fit each employee's needs. Below are the most common options, but we're open to considering other options or a combination of them that work for both the employee and us:

Every employee is entitled to submit one flexible working request within a 12-month period.

In the UK under the Equality Act 2010, if an employee has a statutory entitlement to request additional reasonable adjustments, they are welcome to do so. In the US under the ADA, employees can request reasonable accommodations to perform their job duties, and employers are obligated to engage in an interactive process to determine and provide such accommodations.

Trialing flexible working adjustments

If it's not clear whether flexible working will work for the employee or Prolific, we can put in place a trial period. During the trial period, the employee and their manager will have enough time to get used to the new way of working before deciding if it's a good idea to continue.
