Prolific’s Trans Inclusion Policy

Prolific’s Trans Inclusion Policy is for anyone who is either questioning their gender, has decided to transition, or is already transitioning, and needs support or information.

The policy is in place to support an employee during what can be a really difficult time.

We want everyone to feel comfortable talking to their manager or someone from the People team about any situation they might be going through. We're an inclusive company and want to make sure everyone feels heard and supported.


Your privacy during this time is very important to us and so the People team will not share any information (externally or within the company) without your permission.

We take transphobia seriously and so have a Transphobia Policy. If you experience any sort of transphobia, please report it to [email protected].

What Prolific Will Do

Medical Support

We acknowledge the uncertainty regarding coverage for transgender or gender-questioning individuals by private healthcare insurers, both in the UK and the US.

Due to this limitation, Prolific has implemented an inclusive healthcare policy. If you opt out of private healthcare, we'll cover your treatment costs elsewhere, up to the amount that would have been covered by your private healthcare plan.
